About Emma
I am a recent graduate of a history undergraduate degree. I enjoy making history approachable and not intimidating, making it palatable and enjoyable to understand.
I hold a lot of pride for history as a subject and discipline, and this will translate in my lessons. I truly believe history is one of the most important subjects for us to be knowledgeable on to understand the modern world around us.
As I am beginning my PGCE in September and have previous experience volunteering in secondary schools, I hold myself to a high standard and trust in myself to deliver effective lessons and develop a good rapport with students to ensure I meet their needs.

Teaching history to be an approachable subject, not just names and dates.
By giving information and providing self-guided activities, the student will be able to consolidate their knowledge and deliver confident summaries of historical events.
I am a recent history graduate from Northumbria University, and I am endeavouring to begin a PGCE in secondary history.
Typical lesson length will be around 50 minutes.
I can teach ages 11-18 in KS3, GCSE and A-Level history for all exam boards.
