About Scott
This May, I will be concluding my career as a classroom teacher. It has been one of the great joys of my life. One common thread through all of my students' comments about me is my passion. I love teaching about United States History! Just because I'm leaving the classroom doesn't mean I want to abandon working with students.

I have always believed in a hands-on experiential approach to teaching. My main focus has been on United States History at the high school level. I have taught a wide variety of learners in my career, from the most academically challenged to Advanced Placement students. One of my strengths is teaching writing. I have had great success in making writing an enjoyable experience for students.
