About Darcy
I strongly believe that education is the most important part of our society and that everyone, children, teens, adults, and even the elderly, should always be learning something. In addition to learning, I also love teaching. It gives me the opportunity to pass on my passions and knowledge to others, which gives me a great sense of satisfaction.
I have been programming for nearly five years, and have used my programming skills in many different areas. I created Flagle, a flag guessing game, WhoHasit, a service to find where your favourite TV shows and movies are, PasswordZ, a Python-based interface that makes it easier to use Hashcat, TuringBot, a basic chess bot (but one that could still beat me running on depth 6), as well as a variety of other things that I have made either for myself or for school work, most notably a scale and animated Python Turtle model of our solar system, a Python controlled RC plane that I 3D printed, an evolution-based choose your own adventure style game, and many more. I am also in the development of LovelaceBot, a stock prediction bot, and Aristotle Academy, an online learning platform that uses AI to adapt to the user's individual learning needs.

My lessons can be as long or short as you like (so long as they do not exceed 2 hours). I am very big on adaptation and will adapt how you learn based on your feedback, quiz scores, and my perception of how well a particular method is learning for you.
The first lesson will be spent on what acts as a get-to-know-you session, but not a boring one. I will spend a couple of minutes speaking to you about how you learn, and then start to teach you some elementary areas of whatever subject we are looking at, and then also try some more complicated areas to see what you know. This step will be skipped if you already have knowledge of the subject or have a specific thing you want to learn.
The next lessons will follow the structure of learn - quiz - repeat. I know, quizzes sound scary, but they allow you to know how you are going and know where you can improve, as well as acting for me as a gauge to see how my teaching methods are working for you.
Finally, you will have the choice of either spending a few lessons or corresponding with me about a programming project of your choice. This will allow you to get hands-on experience with the area of programming you are learning about.
