About Tiffany
Nice to meet you! I'll start with introducing myself. I love studying. I graduated high school in 2016 as valedictorian, aka top ranked student for all four years with a weighted GPA of 4.8 and unweighted GPA of 4.0. I went to college on a full ride scholarship thanks to Bill Gates and Melinda Gates scholarship, also won 16 other scholarships that year. Out of 53,000 students who applied nationwide, I was one of 1,000 to be given a full ride scholarship. I studied a variety of things but ultimately graduated with a B.A. in Biological Sciences with a minor in Neuroscience. I've been tutoring for many years, inside and outside of college (from 5 year olds to 60 year olds). I tutor in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Spanish, Mathematics, etc. It brings me great joy to see students excel after working with them for a couple of weeks. I originally wanted to be a teacher with CCSD but started pursuing medical school. Tutoring is something I hope to do for many more years. I grew up in a Spanish speaking household, both parents are from Mexico. My Spanish students really enjoy my lectures. I make sure they are conversational and not just memorizing words. The goal is fluency.
