About Yanick
Before becoming a teacher I earned a master's degree from the University of Bath and then went on to The University of Oxford where I completed a PGCE.
I believe learning can be fun and rigorous and I have applied my ethos in the classroom to teach all types of students and helped them achieve results they never thought possible.
I constantly reflect on lessons to find improvements to support a smooth learning experience and challenge all students appropriately.

My lessons have been honed from a decade of teaching in a top comprehensive school teaching GCSE physics and computer science as well as A-Level physics.
Lessons are designed to build foundational knowledge of any topic, slowly building complexity and any necessary skills. Cognitive load theory is utilised throughout and frequent informal testing is used to determine level of mastery.
Lessons are an hour 40-60 mins long (depending on availability) suited to GCSE age students 13-16 years old
