Hello, I’m Kun Fan, but you can call me Fred. I am a native Chinese speaker and a certified Chinese teacher. I have a Business Bachelor degree from NUI Galway Ireland, and I majored in Hotel Management. I have been teaching Chinese for more than 5 years, and I have a rich experience of living and working in Europe for 7 years. My teaching method is based on the communicative approach, which means I focus on developing the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in Chinese. I use a variety of techniques such as role-playing, dialogues, games, songs, stories and authentic materials to make the lessons engaging and interactive.
A typical lesson plan consists of three parts: a warm-up activity to review previous knowledge and introduce the topic, a main activity to practice the new language and skills, and a wrap-up activity to consolidate the learning outcomes and give feedback. Depending on the level and needs of the students, I may also assign some homework or extra practice.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my passion for teaching and my dedication to helping my students achieve their goals. I tailor my lessons to suit the individual needs and interests of each student, and I provide constant support and encouragement along the way. I also keep myself updated with the latest trends and developments in Chinese language teaching and learning.
My lessons are for anyone who wants to learn Chinese, whether for academic, professional or personal purposes. I can teach students of different levels, from beginners to advanced. I can also teach specific topics or skills such as business Chinese, conversational Chinese or Chinese culture.
