I have always had a passion for mathematics and I enjoy teaching. I have a background in technical instruction, teaching professionally in the scuba industry and as a Genius for Apple.
I enjoy helping others find confidence in mathematics. I believe that anyone can excel in the subject if they are given the opportunity to learn at their pace and according to their personality.

I have been tutoring math for several years. I approach my sessions with the individual in mind. Everyone is different in their current skill level, learning style, strengths and opportunities.
My process consists of three major steps:
First, I focus on the students understanding of the mathematical concepts.
Next, we apply models, diagrams, graphs and visual representations to bridge the gaps between conceptual understanding and application of those.
The final step is to incorporate the understanding by applying the knowledge to equations and problems.
The sessions are focused on preparing the student to succeed by developing a deep understanding of the material. The result is more confidence in math and improved grades.
