About Ana
Hi there!
This is Ana Mayer! An experienced Maths tutor in Ontario.
I have experience working online as a math tutor with Mathnasium, and I am well acquainted with the Ontario, Extended French and IB Curriculums. One of my passions is working with children, and sparking interest in them.
I speak English, French, and Russian fluently so if students prefer me to teach using either of these languages I would be more than happy to do so.
I have 2 years of tutoring experience in:
- Teaching students in Math
- Working with both elementary as well as high school students (academic level up to grade 12)
- Using online interactive platforms for tutoring (Conceptboard, Bitpaper, Zoom, etc.)
Currently, I am one of the top students in the International Baccalaureate and Extended French Programs at my school. During all my years of study, my averages in all subjects were above 90%, I was on the Honor Roll, and received certificates of achievement for French (my current average for Grade 11 IB Math is 99).

I always do my best to empower students to work and be curious about a subject. As well, I make sure that after a lesson they fully grasp a concept and unlock their full academic potential. While teaching, I am always passionate, and enthusiastic. I know that a teacher’s attitude influences the student. I am sure that I will not only be able to use my math knowledge but, also help students during such a difficult time.
My teaching services include:
-Creating individual lesson plans for elementary and high school students (depending on their goals and requests)
-Helping students improve their math skills
-Preparing homework and exercises for every lesson
-Explaining and practising various math problems from school and from contests
-Aiding students with school work and/or concepts they are learning at school
