About Alec
I have always been in love with math and science. As a current science major at UT Austin, I am in love with research and all things from biology to chemistry and math. I have research in both pediatric neurology and genetics with in-person work in both doctor and dentist offices since the 8th grade. I also tutored throughout my high school career typically in algebra and in biology.

I specialize in making math and sciences for K-12 students. My approach centers on active recall and scaffolding, working through assigned problems and finding new ways to approach them. A typical session begins with an evaluation of "where you're at", followed by guided problem-solving into the struggles a student is experiencing until complete understanding is reached.
We will go beyond just rote memorization but conceptual understanding to ensure each student can reason their way through difficult problems.
