About Raquel
As mentioned before, I am an honours political science major at Brock U. The entirety of my university coursework is essay writing, mainly reports and persuasive writing. I am well versed in the use of multiple citation styles such as MLA, APA and Chicago style. I also have over 6 years of experience working with children and excel in seeing them grow academically, emotionally and physically throughout the years.

Starting on day 1, I will assess the level of the child using a provided exercise to ensure future lessons are academically appropriate to the child's reading and writing comprehension skills. We'll work together to establish an objective or goal for the end of the school year and work to achieve it! During the year, we will utilize grammar workbooks, novels, newspapers, and any kind of literature that can be critically analyzed and assessed by the student. I specialize in reading/writing comprehension skills, essay writing, thesis practice, persuasive writing, grammar, proper citation styles, and more. I am here to encourage your child to think critically to achieve that level 4 their teacher is looking for.
