About Sophie
Hi, I’m Sophie. I’m a university student and have been running a tutoring business for the past three years, working closely with high-school students across a range of subjects.
My lessons are interactive and structured. We work directly through syllabus content, past exam questions, and school-assigned material using shared whiteboards and clear visual explanations. I focus on understanding and application, not rote learning.
I particularly love teaching English. I’m a keen reader with a strong interest in philosophy and literature, and I help students develop clearer thinking, stronger arguments, and more confident writing.
I’ve helped students achieve ATARs above 90 and adapt my teaching to suit different learning styles, including neurodivergent students. My aim is simple: make the work clear, manageable, and something students can actually do well in.
