About Owen
As a History graduate at University level I have first hand experience of each level of Historical studies and would be able to tailor lessons to individual ability. I am believe that history is one of the most important resources we have available to us, that a balanced education in it not only gives you a great qualification but also a better understanding of the world you live in.
I hope to inspire similar passion in any students that I cross paths with and will aim to do this through enthusiastic teaching and engaging work.
Remember that this will be a two way street, an ongoing discussion the whole point of studying history is to find the most definitive ways to argue a point so always feel free to disagree !

Lessons will typically be a mixture of conversation, note taking and source reviewing and unfortunately homework to best achieve an understanding of the subject at hand. Lessons will usually range from 45 minutes to an Hour much like an average classroom lesson.
The structure of lessons are set out in such a way that the initial (less formal) conversation around the topic will be used to gauge your prior understanding and dictate the direction and focus for the rest of the lesson. Homework will never be demanding but often short essays and projects to reassure both of us of your understanding and progress.
Ages and levels range best from 12-18 (this is not iron clad)
