Before I began tutoring, I taught English as a second language for five years to students of all ages and ability levels. Throughout my graduate studies, I have had the opportunity to tutor occasionally, helping many of my students improve their test scores significantly.

I have recently received my master's degree in cellular and molecular biology, hoping to help students in high school or college understand their coursework. When tutoring, I feel that most difficult concepts usually can be explained in far more basic terms than those provided in the text or by the professor. Once a student can reduce an idea into its simplest form, problem solving related to that topic often becomes just as simple.
