About Stanley
My name is Stanley Wills, I'm 19 years old and currently studying Law and Arts at Wollongong University. I'm an avid saxophone player and I've recently traveled the world to learn and write about other cultures. I am incredibly excited to use these lessons, as well as my strong academic foundations teach students about the worlds of literature.
I graduated the HSC in 2024 from St. Andrews Cathedral School in Sydney, NSW. I achieved a >95% ATAR, with Band 6's in all subjects. I undertook English Advanced, English Extension 1 and Extension 2, with a particular attainment of 99% in Extension 2 for creative script writing.

The purpose of tutoring for a student is not rigidity and boredom; my methodology in mentorship is to understand both the interests and cognitive learning behaviours of younger students. This allows me to engage them in their coursework in a manner they can be enthusiastic and diligent toward. Empowering a student to be interested in their own content and proud of their work ethic is my aim as a tutor.
Tutelage can vary hugely depending on the age and needs of the student, including reading comprehension and homework for younger students, all the way to critical analysis, high-level essay writing structure and creative writing practices for older students.
Personally, I have extensive experience in theatre tutelage, and understand the cruciality of open, communication constructive between a tutor and a student. This pairs with outstanding results in the HSC and a strong belief that the study of English does not only relate to schooling, but toward the development of students into young adults.
