About Ruby
Math has always been a subject I’ve enjoyed for its logic, structure, and problem-solving nature. Throughout high school, I found satisfaction in breaking down complex problems and developing clear, methodical solutions—something that carried through in my success in Mathematics Standard 2. I’ve always appreciated how math sharpens critical thinking and analytical skills, which continue to support my current university studies. I’m now pursuing a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics, where I frequently apply mathematical thinking to subjects like economics and statistics. I enjoy helping others find clarity in math and aim to make the subject feel less intimidating and more engaging for every student I work with.

I believe that success in HSC Maths comes from building a strong foundation and developing confidence through clear, step-by-step explanations. I graduated high school with an ATAR above 90 and achieved strong results in Mathematics Standard 2. I have extensively studied and learnt the syllabus for Mathematics Standard 2, however I am passionate about helping students at all levels—whether they’re in earlier years or preparing for the HSC in Mathematics Standard—understand mathematical concepts in a way that makes sense to them. I tailor each lesson to the student’s specific needs, focusing on their areas for improvement while reinforcing their strengths. With previous tutoring experience and access to a wide range of practice questions, notes, and resources, I aim to make maths more approachable, structured, and even enjoyable.
