About Jack
Hi! I'm Jack, I'm a student at UNSW and a HSC math tutor. As a recent high school student myself I know how difficult it was to know what you don't know, and to learn the tips and tricks of the syllabus, yet it's an easy way to instantly improve marks. I want to guide and impart my knowledge of HSC maths on my students as I wish someone had for me. My motivation and goal is making my student's success in the HSC slightly easier.

As a tutor I have helped many year 11/12 HSC math students by taking them through a question and carefully explaining the steps required to get the answer. However, as a former HSC student myself who did maths ext 2, I realise how important developing a student's "mathematical intuition" is, which does not come from spoon-feeding answers and rope-learning techniques. Therefore, my approach to tutoring involves a blend of explaining concepts to them through example, and testing their ability to apply those concepts within a wide range of challenging questions.
My lesson lengths are typically between 1-2 hours.
I specialise in teaching (year 11/12) HSC maths at advanced and extension 1&2 level. However I could also help year 10 maths students.
