About Jayten

Hi! My name is Jayten, and I’m a University of British Columbia (UBC) student from Vancouver, Canada. I’m passionate about technology and enjoy helping others learn new skills in a way that is simple, practical, and enjoyable.

I have 2 years of experience tutoring math, which has taught me how to explain difficult concepts clearly, be patient with students, and adapt my teaching style to different learning speeds.

Now, I’m bringing that experience into HTML and CSS tutoring. I like making lessons interactive and hands-on rather than simply going through a textbook. We can work on fun projects and exercises, including creative themes like memes and cartoon characters, while learning real web-development skills along the way.

Whether you’re completely new to coding or already know some HTML and CSS, I’ll work with you at your level and help you build your skills and confidence one step at a time.

My Teaching Experience

I am a University of British Columbia (UBC) student with 2 years of experience tutoring math, where I’ve helped students build confidence by breaking down challenging concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps.

I bring that same teaching approach to HTML and CSS. My lessons are patient, interactive, and tailored to each student’s pace, with plenty of hands-on practice and creative activities to keep learning engaging. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, solving problems, and enjoying the process of learning to code.
