Miryam, aside from being a very knowledgeable linguist, possesses, among others, two key attributes that make for a good teacher: patience and empathy. She clearly remembers how it was to be, once upon a time, taught a foreign herself.

I've had a few one on one classes with Miriam to improve my speaking and listening skills in Spanish and she has always been a well prepared and patient teacher. When I have class with her she always asks challenging questions but they make me think and formulate better responses in Spanish and when I make a mistake, which is often, she has a really easy way of correcting me and making sure I learn from them.
