Super tutor

LUKA is one of our best English tutors. High-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About LUKA

I believe that my academic and professional experiences (completing a degree from Oxford and an MA at KCL, tutoring multiple students, and working as an Accelerated Learning Champion) have equipped me well for this role! My first-hand experience of completing an undergraduate joint-honours degree at the University of Oxford (receiving a 2.1 in Philosophy and Theology) and my subsequent master's studies (2.1 in Philosophy at KCL), have rigorously sharpened my writing skills, analytical reasoning and rhetorical skills. Having received world-renowned tuition on a weekly basis here, I am well aware of how best to academically stretch students to reach their full potential in a fun way. Moreover, my 3 years of professional experience in online tutoring and 1 year working as an Accelerated Learning Champion in a secondary school setting have further enhanced my abilities in effectively adapting a given syllabus to meet the needs of the student I am working with.

About the lesson

Quality tuition at reasonable rates! I tutor the following: - General essay writing skills (especially for Philosophy, English, and History) - Philosophy / RS / Theology up to BA level - Logic and critical thinking - Personal statements - Interview preparation - Oxbridge applications I am patient and happy to adapt my approaches to meet the exact level of each of my students, ensuring that they are taught in a way that suits them best! Tutorials are typically one hour, and will often adhere closely to exam syllabi. In addition to this, I do set homework (although this is flexible) so as to ensure that students make optimal progress.

I have known Luka since I was 11. We went to the same secondary school and reconvened after my gap year at Oxford University. Luka is a is a conscientious and meticulous individual, able to tackle any subject. His strengths lie in synthesising knowledge and reorganising it to create high quality resources. This stems from his autodidacticism, and desire to learn beyond a given specification or syllabus. Not only does he use language with great facility but produces large quantities of written work extremely quickly, faster than anyone else I know, and I skill which I deeply envy myself.

Luka proofread my personal statement and was able to find many easy-to-miss mistakes and additional areas to improve, explaining in clear terms why each point was made. I have always know Luka to write quality essays for academic and extra-academic purposes, and he is the first person I would recommend for essay writing support.
