About Kunal
Hello, I am an IIT graduate, ISB alumnus, and a lifelong student of Mathematics and Physics. Over the past decade, I've worked as a product leader in technology and AI, but teaching has always remained my first love. I'm now offering Math and Physics tuitions to a small number of students, because I genuinely believe these subjects can transform the way young minds think — when taught the right way.
My Background:
- B.Tech from IIT — where I built a deep, first-principles understanding of Mathematics and Physics.
- MBA from ISB (Indian School of Business) — which sharpened my ability to break down complex ideas into simple, structured explanations.
- 12+ years in the technology industry, where I have built AI products and led teams — work that constantly draws on the same logical thinking I now teach my students.
Why I Teach
- I still remember the teachers who made Math and Physics exciting for me — and the ones who made it terrifying. The difference was never the subject; it was the approach. Too many students grow up believing they are "not a math person" or "bad at physics," when in reality they were simply never taught with patience and clarity.
- My mission is simple: help every student I teach discover that they are, in fact, very capable of mastering these subjects.

I believe Math and Physics are not subjects to be memorized, they are subjects to be understood. As an IIT graduate, my own foundation was built on first principles, and that is exactly how I teach my students.
I follow a concept-first approach. Before solving a single problem, I make sure the student understands the why behind the formula — where it comes from, what it really means, and where it applies in the real world. Once the concept is clear, problem-solving becomes natural, not stressful.
- I use a mix of visual explanations and diagrams to make abstract ideas (vectors, trigonometric functions, geometric proofs) tangible.
- Step-by-step problem breakdowns, so the student learns how to think, not just what to write.
- Guided practice, where I let the student attempt first and intervene only when needed, building independence and confidence.
Structure of a typical class (60 minutes)
- Quick recap (5 min) — review of the last class and doubts.
- Concept building (15–20 min) — clear explanation of the day's topic with examples.
- Worked examples (15 min) — solving problems together, showing the thought process.
- Student practice (15 min) — student attempts problems while I guide.
- Wrap-up and homework (5 min) — summary, key takeaways, and targeted practice for the week.
