About Nitya Prakash
Hello, I’m Nitya Prakash Pandey, a Mathematics tutor with over 3 years of teaching experience. I am currently working as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Madras for Mathematics 1 (MA1001), where I regularly interact with students and help them build a strong understanding of core concepts.
Teaching, for me, is not just about completing a syllabus — it is about making sure that a student truly understands what they are learning. Over time, I have realized that most students find Mathematics difficult not because the subject is hard, but because the concepts are not explained in a clear and relatable way. That is exactly what I focus on in my classes.
I aim to create a comfortable and interactive learning environment where students feel free to ask questions and learn without hesitation. My approach is simple — start from the basics, build clarity step by step, and then gradually move towards more advanced problem-solving.
In many students I have seen noticeable improvement in their confidence and understanding after focusing on concept-based learning, which is something I consistently emphasize.
I am patient, approachable, and committed to helping students improve not just their marks, but also their confidence in Mathematics. Whether a student is struggling with basics or aiming for higher-level problem solving, I ensure that they receive the right guidance and support.

My approach to teaching Mathematics is focused on building strong concepts first, and then developing problem-solving ability step by step.
Many students struggle with Math because they try to memorize formulas without understanding the logic behind them. In my classes, I ensure that every concept is explained in a simple and intuitive way so that students can apply it confidently in different types of questions.
