About Adityan
Hi! I’m Adityan (aka Adi), an incoming Computing student at Imperial College London. I achieved 2 As and 2 A*s in my A-levels, with As in Mathematics and Physics and A*s in Further Mathematics and Computer Science.
I’ve always enjoyed understanding how and why things work, particularly in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, and I enjoy helping others develop that same understanding. Throughout school, I regularly supported and tutored my peers and mentored GCSE students, which gave me experience adapting my explanations to different students and helping them build confidence in their abilities.
As I have only recently completed my A-levels, I have a strong understanding of the current GCSE and A-level experience from a student’s perspective. I know how challenging it can be to balance academic work with everything else, and I aim to make lessons both productive and enjoyable rather than adding unnecessary pressure.
Outside of academics, I enjoy playing volleyball and badminton, working on programming projects and exploring new areas of technology and computer science. I’m friendly, approachable and patient, and I’m happy to adapt lessons to suit each student’s individual goals and learning style.
I’m particularly interested in working with students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve their grades and become more confident in their academic abilities.

I like to challenge my students to ensure that they understand the concepts behind each lesson for themselves, rather than simply memorising methods. I do this by asking questions, encouraging students to explain their reasoning, and observing their approach when solving problems. I find this particularly effective for A-level Mathematics and Physics, where developing a strong understanding of the underlying concepts is essential.
Where appropriate, I can also adopt a more exam-focused approach, helping students develop effective methods for tackling problems under exam conditions and improving their exam technique.
I have experience tutoring my peers throughout GCSE and A-level, as well as mentoring GCSE students while studying for my A-levels. Through this experience, I have helped students improve their understanding and grades while developing greater confidence in their academic abilities.
As a current Imperial College London Computing student, I can relate closely to students and provide practical advice on studying effectively, managing workload and maintaining a healthy balance between academic work and other aspects of life. I can also offer guidance on UCAS and university applications, drawing on my recent experience of the process.
Lessons are typically one hour long, although I am also happy to offer two-hour sessions where appropriate. I teach GCSE and A-level students in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science.
