About Vicki
I’ve taught thousands of people to improve their reading and language arts. I’ve authored over 35 literary projects as well as a college textbook! Additionally, I produced three multimedia educational products; one was specifically designed to improve writing skills within various real-world contexts. The Internet, digital technology, and multimedia have fascinated me for years and I soon learned how to integrate reading and writing seamlessly with 21st Century tools. My B.A. is in English Education with a minor in Spanish. I have taught students in grades 2-12 as well as adults working as pre-service teachers and educators working for advancement and greater student achievement. My parents introduced storybooks at a young age and every opportunity from the riddles inside bubblegum wrappers to the comics page in the daily newspaper to the bookcase of western paperbacks I devoured them all! I loved visiting the public library and having my own library card! I attended the Denver Public Schools; as a high school student I worked as a feature page reporter and editor. In college, I loved the literature courses: Mark Twain, English and American Literature, Greek Mythology! I believe my love of reading sparked my desire to share and serve through teaching. After landing my first job as an elementary teacher, I immersed myself in graduate methods courses in reading, language arts, and writing. I spent a major portion of my career training teachers and businessmen and women to advance and succeed. I hold an M.A. in administration and have earned about 60 hours toward a Ph.D. and Ed.D. We’ll work online and one on one so you can be assured of your privacy and my confidentiality.

I have successfully taught students grade 2-12 to become better readers, enjoy the world of literature, and to smoothly navigate the English language. I’ve also taught adults everyday reading strategies and helped them with their business style of writing. Correct spelling, grammar, and vocabulary when applied in the workplace equates to more responsibilities and respect.
