About Maria Fernanda
My name is Maria Fernanda (Mafer for friends!) and I am an 18-year-old Peruvian student. I am passionate about the intersection between technology and sustainability so I want to study Computer Science and Earth Systems in my upcoming year at Stanford University. I like to tutor because I strongly believe that the best way to learn is teaching. I consider myself a very open and friendly person, so meeting new people and helping them is something I constantly strive to do. Rather than simply tutoring, I want to genuinely engage with the student and immerse ourselves into the topics we discuss, thus I am eager to start learning together.

I will try to be dynamic with my lessons. They will be mainly focused on practical exercises to then introduce the topic as a whole. The ideal time for a lesson would be an hour but I am flexible depending on what the student needs. I have been a tutor for my whole High School career, specifically for students between 13-19 years. I can give lessons for math, physics economics or spanish (being national curriculum or IB) and I am always open to listening to what the student needs:)
