About Thomas
My name is Thomas Burton, I have been tutoring GCSE, IGCSE and A level students online throughout the past year in various subjects and have remained passionate about STEM, scientific communication and offering tips on how to excel in exams and personal statement writing.
- My speciality subject is mathematics, however I was a 2021 top 10 national ranking title holder in A level English Literature and Biology.
- I have experience in mentoring students applying to top U.K. universities for STEM degrees. I can assist in career advising, CV wiring, aptitude test and interview preparation.
- I teach Maths and Chemistry to all levels up to and including A level.
- I achieved 2A* and 3A's in my A levels and 8A* and 1A in my GCSE's.

In my tutoring sessions, I prioritise creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. I believe in tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs and learning styles of my students. I begin by assessing their current knowledge and understanding of the subject matter, allowing me to identify areas of improvement and develop a personalised learning plan. To ensure comprehension, I regularly assess my students' progress through past paper questions and periodic evaluations. I have been working as an A level and GCSE/IGCSE STEM tutor online for the past year and have thoroughly enjoyed working with ample passionate students and helping them excel in their examinations. I provide tuition for all levels with a particular focus on GCSE/IGCSE and A level mathematics and chemistry.
