About Amy

I am an independent school learning support assistant with 7 years experience of working with key stage 2 students and 1 year's experience working across the board from Reception to Year 7. Alongside my full-time employment I have been tutoring 1:1 for 6 years. The main subjects that I teach are English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, spellings and reading. I have recently gained a TEFL qualification so I am offering 1:1 lessons for EFL students.

About the lesson

My approach is flexible and is always based on your needs, what you want to achieve and the areas you need to improve. I mainly work with KS1 and KS2 students, teaching English, Spellings, Reading, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. I can help to study for 4+, 7+ and 13+ common entrance tests.

I was recommended to Amy by a friend who has her as a tutor for her son. Amy began tutoring my son in English and now tutors my daughter in both maths and English. She has a wonderful way with children and has really helped both of my children to progress. My children love when Amy comes over and never complain that they have to learn because they enjoy their time with her. I highly recommend Amy as a tutor!
