About Esther Mae
I have been teaching since 2017 and spent 2 years in curriculum development. As an avid reader and writer myself, I seek to inspire children to love the potential of English for communicating their own ideas. I use positive methods like praise and encouragement to assure children they are precious and have valuable ideas. I also develop children's critical thinking through prompting questions and explanations about language and the topics explored.

To help children enjoy reading and writing, I customise activities to their interests. No two children's lessons are the same.
Reading is developed through music, games, art, and your child's choice of books. Children take ownership of their writing and decide what they want to write, developing writing conventions and understanding of various formats (stories, letters, etc.) in the process.
