About Juryna
I’m an Industrial Engineering graduate with a deep passion for math and problem-solving. What I enjoy most is helping scholars move from feeling stuck or unsure to that moment where everything suddenly makes sense. I genuinely care about making math feel less intimidating and more logical and enjoyable.
I’m patient, friendly and I naturally like finding simple, creative ways to explain things. I often use basic examples and step-by-step thinking to help scholars understand the “why” behind each concept, not just the steps.

My approach to private tutoring is focused on making maths simple, logical and less intimidating. I believe scholars learn best when they truly understand why something works, so I break down each concept into basic steps and use real-life examples, visuals and clear explanations to build confidence and understanding. My goal is not just to improve marks, but to help students develop a genuine appreciation for maths.
I teach in Afrikaans or English and tailor each lesson to the student’s level and learning style. I am patient and adaptable, and I make sure students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems at their own pace.
In a typical lesson, we start by identifying problem areas, then work through explanations step-by-step, followed by guided practice and independent questions to reinforce understanding. I also give tips and strategies for solving problems more efficiently and confidently.
My lessons are aimed at primary and high school students who need support with maths, whether they are struggling with basics, preparing for exams, or simply want to improve their confidence and performance.
