About Maryam
I am a current instructor & lecturer for University and College students. I have been teaching for the past ten years. Having PhD in chemistry has given me this opportunity to teach different chemistry subjects. During COVID period I was fascinated to tutor high school and college students via online program. This was an online program that not only had an impact on my professional development, but also for the first time highlighted how valuable an online program could truly be. This experience inspired me to pursue being a tutor.
The things I love most about teaching chemistry via online platform are those "Aha!" moments and seeing my students' sense of accomplishment shine through after learning a difficult concept. My approach in the classroom mirrors my tutoring methods in that I believe in a problem-based approach. Practice problems are the key to success in chemistry. I also believe that my friendly personality and calm temperament working with different students are very harmonious with the requirements of guiding my students. My communication skills are excellent which are useful during interactions with high school & college students.
