About SHIKHA
I’m Shikha, an IIT Bombay research professional with a strong background in Biology, Mathematics, Computational Biology, and Scientific Research. My teaching approach focuses on building deep conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization. I believe every student can excel when concepts are explained in a simple, logical, and engaging way.
I have experience working in research, scientific writing, and AI-driven biology projects, which allows me to connect academic concepts with real-world applications. I specialize in simplifying complex topics using interactive explanations, visual learning, and step-by-step problem-solving methods tailored to each student’s learning pace.
My classes are designed to create a supportive and confidence-building environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing independent thinking skills. Whether the goal is improving school performance, strengthening fundamentals, preparing for competitive exams, or developing advanced scientific understanding, I ensure lessons are structured, professional, and personalized.

I believe learning becomes effective when students truly understand the logic behind a concept rather than memorizing formulas. My teaching approach is highly interactive, concept-based, and adapted to each student’s learning style and pace. I focus on building strong fundamentals, analytical thinking, and confidence in problem-solving.
My lessons usually begin with understanding the student’s current level and identifying conceptual gaps. I then explain topics using simple real-life examples, visual methods, step-by-step reasoning, and interactive discussions. After concept clarity, we move toward guided practice, problem-solving strategies, and application-based questions to strengthen understanding.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my strong research and analytical background from IIT Bombay, along with my ability to simplify complex scientific and mathematical concepts into easy-to-understand explanations. I also encourage students to think critically and independently rather than rely on rote learning.
