About Lauren
My name is Lauren, I have had an intense passion for Japanese culture my entire life. At 18, I went on a self-funded trip to Japan completely alone and am doing so again only a year later. I am currently undertaking my degree in Japanese which means I will be living abroad in the country in 2027. Before university, I had been teaching myself Japanese for several years and have since seized several language enhancing opportunities, such as competitions and job opportunities. The other part of my degree is International business and many experiences over the years have made me a good teacher.

I am a complete beginner however have always fully applied myself when learning a new skill, such as tutoring. Lessons will be up to two hours, however we can discuss this. Lessons can be for any age as can be tailored to your preferred "intensity." We will cover reading, writing, speaking, listening, kanji, katakana, hiragana, vocabulary and I will prepare many resources such as quizzes. Regarding grammar, we will learn long form for the past and present as well as "short form" and more informal speaking if possible.
