About Devin

I am an international touring drummer and educator based in Cape Town, South Africa. I've been teaching drumming and percussion for 15 years at many of SA's top schools and privately. I've taught about 100+ students and have had the privilege to have taught students from beginner drums to getting accepted into university music degrees. I have completed all my Trinity Grades and UNISA Grades in drum set and have a degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Cape Town.

About the lesson

I'm an international touring drummer with a very popular artist in South Africa. I give lessons to all levels of students, from beginner classes to advanced classes. If you want to play for fun or have a more structured approach these are the lessons for you. My method for teaching is reading music and ear training. With the knowledge passed on from lesson one you should be able to get a groove going. Lessons are about having fun and getting to understand the drums and your perspective behind it.

Theo has had some lessons before our first lesson. She is bright and really wants to learn which makes the teaching much easier! I'm hoping that we can progress to a point that she will be able to play songs all on her own.
