Hi, I am a licensed intervention specialist for grades k-12. I have nearly half a decade of work experience. I have taught many students how to read and write. Many of whom no one believed they could read and write.

My Lessons range from varying levels based upon where the students are at. All my lessons are a variation of I do, We do, You do. Typically, reading instruction begins with understanding letters and sounds and progresses to understanding CVC words with a heavy emphasis on phonics. During this time, I also drill students in sight words and begin teaching students how to read passages. After CVC words are understood, I take students to learn CVCE words and blends/diagraphs. Once CVCE words are learned I teach students how to use vowel teams. Teaching writing progresses similarly, where the beginning phases are much more focused on sounds while more advanced lessons focus more on rules.
