About Bronwyn
I’m a friendly, open-minded individual. Currently Studying Primary Teaching through the Medium of Irish in Marino Institute of Education. Attended school in a Gaelscoil and Gaelcholáiste. At the moment, I’m studying in Marino Institute of Education and I’m in my third year of Primary school Teaching through the medium of Irish. The language has always been a part of my life although I learned it through school. I’m hoping to create a love for the language and to nurture an open-minded atmosphere while teaching. I’m open to teaching most levels of Irish, this would depend on the student. To the best of my ability, I would love to help students achieve a high standard of Irish, to ensure academic achievement but also a positive mentality regarding a language they may find difficult. Effort is important to me and I will encourage students often and correct as needed. At the end of the day, confidence is key when learning a language and I hope to create an atmosphere for learning and confidence while teaching. I think it’s important to cater to all learning approaches and I will cater to this to the best of my ability. The student will play a major role in deciding their goals and aims. I will provide notes, worksheets, techniques, essays etc. as needed.

A welcoming and encouraging approach to teaching Irish in a comprehensive, personal manner. A positive, comfortable atmosphere most importantly, encouraging the idea of the learning process, as well as maintaining or creating a high standard of Irish. Eager to nurture a love for the language along with skills needed to achieve satisfactory results. A keen interest in the structure and history of the language, as well as tricks and techniques in order to achieve high marks academically. Open to teaching conversational Irish as far as Leaving Cert Irish, all dependent on students needs. Previous experience teaching Irish to primary school children and 6th year students. Lessons would usually be an hour, ideally over Zoom. Evenings or weekends would suit generally - again, flexible schedule
