About Alon
I am an Israeli scholar. I teach modern and biblical Hebrew, going deep into the culture and linguistics of the language.
I am a senior academic, working on dialectical methods of teaching and learning and studying learning. I am a senior research associate at the University of Johannesburg.
I have an MA, a PhD and a Postdoc in Education, Anthropology, Linguistics and Psychology from the Hebrew University, the University of Bath and Nelson Mandela University.
I am interested in and researching Anthropology, Linguistics, teaching and learning, the Hebrew language and Psycholinguistics.
I have been teaching and working on Hebrew for three decades as I completed my degrees ,and as a way to study learning and teaching and the dialectics of transforming and developing learning and knowledge.
