About Frida
I was born in Genoa and have a degree in film studies, though my love for language has always been an integral part of my work. I've been living in Berlin for several years now and plan to become a certified language teacher in the near future, currently gaining experience in this field. Language is also important to me in my free time, and besides Italian, German, and English (my native language, C1 level), I also speak and am learning French, Spanish, and Farsi. This allows me to speak to friends in their native languages and to understand more when traveling, meeting new people, or watching films. This never ceases to amaze me, and I would love to share this passion and continue learning, whether it's learning new languages or teaching the ones I already know.

As someone who grew up bilingual I have native-level fluency in both Italian and German. I am particularly interested in communication, such as translating and understanding typical conversations, wordplay, and song lyrics, film clips, and comics, because I believe a passionate foundation is essential for tackling more technical areas like grammar. Translating bureaucratic, literature and everyday language is something I am passionate about and practice daily. I would love to work as a language teacher and am therefore very happy to be able to gain experience here.
