I began studying with her to prepare for a language qualification exam for my job, and what I expected to be stressful quickly became the highlight of my week. She’s endlessly encouraging, patient, and creative, and thanks to her guidance I passed my exam last fall and have continued learning with her ever since. Bravissima! I had studied Italian for a while when I began receiving lessons from Michela. I was comfortable with my reading skills but much less so with my speaking skills. From our first lesson together, she was thoroughly prepared and came with a variety of strategies that helped me to quickly become a better speaker of Italian.

Learning to cook dishes like parmigiana di melanzane with her also gave me a more immersive and immediate experience with the language than I could get from grammar study alone.
