About Emma
I spent five years teaching students with limited language skills in the Northern Territory. In the Northern Territory I taught an extension class for struggling students, using decodable reading materials with impressive results. I’m also proficient in extending students who are above year level. Since then I’ve been teaching students in Perth. I have taught Pre-Primary, Year 1 and Year 2 students during my career.

Oral language and letter sound knowledge is key to students learning how to decode texts & beginning to write. I am knowledgeable on ‘The Science of Reading’, which is the latest research on how students learn to read.
