About Elie
I am currently a third year medical student at JCU in Townsville. I am originally from Sydney and spend some of my holidays there but am predominantly based in Townsville. Following my high school graduation in 2015, I took upon multiple students who were sitting their High School certificate the following year. Specifically I taught 3 in a group capacity in Math and Chemistry. All three students were successful in gaining admission to their desired university courses. Additionally, working with tutor's field put me in touch with younger students in Years 7-9. I was able to help one particular student improve his algebra leading to the student being accelerated.

I base my classes on the needs of the student. At first, I try to have the student come forward with areas that they need help with. Then I design an individually tailored program through the use of a wide range of resources including sample essays, past papers and worked example. In the lesson time itself, we will address the areas of most concern. I then provide students with homework sheets which we discuss thoroughly in our next session. The aim of this is to help the student establish a system for understanding and consolidating knowledge that they can apply individually without the guidance of a tutor over time.
