About Hirono
I enjoy helping students understand Japanese in a practical and approachable way. Having recently gone through the GCSE and A-level system myself, I understand the challenges students face and the skills needed to succeed in exams. I aim to explain grammar clearly, practise real conversation, and help students build confidence step by step. My lessons are supportive, organised, and adapted to each student’s learning pace and goals.

Hi, I’m Hirono. I’m currently in Year 13 at a boarding school in the UK, and I have been studying here since April 2023.
I offer Japanese lessons for students preparing for GCSE, A-level, or anyone who would like to improve their general conversation and basic Japanese skills. I achieved Grade 9 in GCSE Japanese and A* in A-level Japanese.
In our first session, we will go over the basics, discuss your goals, and identify what you would like to achieve through the lessons. Based on this, I will create a personalised learning plan to help you improve efficiently and confidently.
My lessons are friendly and flexible, whether you want help with exam preparation, grammar, speaking practice, or starting Japanese from the beginning.
