About Lily
Java, HTML, CSS, and C++ are the languages I use to bridge the gap between theory and actual industry results. Most people struggle with coding because they ignore the FUNDAMENTALS of clean code practices. I hold a PhD in Statistics from Stanford University and have worked in quantitative research and ML for 7 years.
My technical foundation supports my 5 years of experience tutoring students in complex debugging techniques. I see programming as a logical puzzle rather than a series of abstract rules. Solving problems on coding platforms is how I developed my own technical edge.
My approach focuses on project-based learning that mirrors the work required for high-tier internships. I am a first quant internship coach who prioritizes precision above all else. This methodical path is the most reliable way to build a serious career. I truly enjoy seeing a student finally grasp the mechanics of object-oriented programming after weeks of hard work.

Coding practice is rarely about writing elegant lines on the first try. Weekly practice problems on coding platforms with review are the core of how I structure our time together. We spend our sessions breaking down complex bugs into manageable segments.
You will learn to navigate the frustrations of debugging while maintaining a clean codebase. I find that beginners often overcomplicate their logic before they master the basics. We will prioritize efficiency and standard practices throughout our work.
My goal is to ensure you possess the technical literacy needed to succeed at companies like Google or Jane Street. I find the process of refining a broken script into a functional tool deeply rewarding.
