About Lea
You will find that my teaching character is built upon 12 years of direct experience working with diverse learning styles. Holding a BMus from Rice University Shepherd School means I have the deep technical knowledge to support your growth.
My personal path from 13 years of symphonic performance into full-time education informs how I explain jazz improvisation and pop styles. I prioritize clarity while teaching pedaling technique and dynamics and expression. We focus on memorization techniques and classical repertoire together. My goal is to ensure you feel understood while we explore hand independence and chord voicing.

My BMus from Rice University Shepherd School provides the framework for these sessions. I provide free access to my annotated practice notes after every lesson to support your retention.
