About João
I have a degree in Mathematics Applied to Economics and Management by ISEG but I decided to follow my true passion which is music. I am currently in the last year of the Luiz Villas-Boas / Hot Clube de Portugal Jazz School. My first instrument is guitar but I also play piano, mandolin and I sing. I have been teaching music since 2018, namely guitar, piano, ukulele and music theory.

In my classes I start by trying to understand if the student already has some knowledge of music or if it is his first contact with an instrument. I also try to find their motivations and what musical genres they would like to learn. From there, I build, along with the students, a path that continually strengthens their musical bases and motivates them to broaden their knowledge and interests.
