About Soumik Hazra
I am a PhD student who is into academia for the past 6 years primarily because I love learning new things which in turn challenges and allows me to understand the world in its terms by interacting with different perspective. I believe literature and humanities in general allows us to do that, to be kind,patient and wise in this ever changing world. If I am given the opportunity to teach, I will try to implement this philosophy in my students within an interactive framework which will appease their inquisitive mind.

I believe in and try to implement a free flowing and interactive method to teah my students. I have noticed in my 4-5 years of teaching school students that at times they are too scared or intimidated to address any doubt regarding the subject as a result of which their performances suffer in exams or assignments. It is important to make them feel relaxed and provide an environment where they can express their thoughts which will allow them to grasp their respective subjects. Further, since language and literature allow us to understand the world around us better,my teaching will also keep in mind to acquaint the students with the intricacies of the subject so that they can put things into perspective around themselves and develop a critical mind.
