About Timothy
Hello!
My name is Timothy. I have a B.S. of Physics from Rochester Institute of Technology where I studied Mathematical systems. I have been working in IT for a decade and have worked as a Senior Systems Administrator as well as a DevOps Engineer.
I have worked in large enterprise corporate environments you may have heard of, as well as start ups. I will teach you to solve real world problems encountered in a real engineering role.
I have obtained Red Hat Certified System Administrator, AWS Architect Associate, and Azure AZ-900 certifications. I can help you prepare for your IT certification.
I have working experience with Linux, AWS/Azure cloud, Scripting and Automation with tools like Ansible and Terraform, Python, and BASH.
I also have experience with creating Dockerized applications and running them in Kubernetes.
I will teach you all of this and more.

I believe hands on projects are the best way to learn. I will help you decide on a project and work with you in real time to accomplish your goals. I believe in memorizing as little as possible, instead building on intuition. Don't Repeat Yourself.
We will learn how to automate Infrastructure as Code using BASH scripts, Terraform, and Ansible.
We will learn how to create Python/Javascript full stack web applications and how to containerize them with tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
We will build off of foundational knowledge such as Networking, and the Linux OS to command better understanding of advanced topics.
If there is something you are struggling with, I will help you understand "why" certain concepts exist.
