About Deurim
In addition to my B.M. Degree from Northwestern and acceptance into the Juilliard School, I have attended and performed at several prestigious music programs including the Meadowmount School of Music, The Heifetz Institute, Center Stage Strings at the University of Michigan. I have also attended the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College program and have been accepted into Pinchas Zukerman’s studio. I have competed in the Thaviu Strings Competition (1st Prize), Northwestern Concerto/Aria Competition (2 time finalist), St. Paul String Quartet Competition (finalist), MPrize Quartet Competition (semi finalist) and Fischoff International Quartet Competition. I have completed a Early pedagogy course concentrating on the Suzuki method and Mimi Zweig method of pedagogy and have 4 years of teaching experience. I personalize a lesson plan for each individual student according to their level and goals.

Hi! I am a graduate student at the Juilliard School and a graduate of Northwestern University and I am offering violin lessons to students either in the NY/NJ area or online!
All levels are welcome, whether you are just starting out or applying to Allstate orchestra or schools, I can accommodate to your learning needs. Also, it is helpful and important to me to know what is most important to you and what you would like to work on and learn!
The most basic and crucial part of improving on the violin is knowing how to practice. I have received pedagogy from world renowned professors who have all stressed the importance of this aspect. My philosophy for teaching is to help students to learn to love music and to find their passion.
