About Mounia
Hi! I'm Mounia and I'm a 1st-year medical student in UCC. I achieved 613 points in the 2026 Leaving Cert exams and 9x Distinctions in the 2024 Junior Cert. Having consistently maintained a high-grade average throughout Junior Cycle & Leaving Cert, I know first-hand techniques and strategies that it takes to excel in State Exams.
I hope to help students go beyond just rote learning for subjects like Maths & Chemistry, but rather understanding concepts in order to maximize success on exam day!
I specialize in tutoring maths as it is a subject that I've always been passionate about, especially in terms of problem-solving. This flair led me to be awarded Maths Student of the Year in my school and I would love to help as many other students as I can to unlock their own potential! Alongside maths, I can also aid with science subjects both at JC and LC level, specifically Biology and Chemistry, and HL French (having achieved 99% in the State Exam). I believe any student can achieve similar results with the right help and guidance!

I hope to provide one-to-one personalized sessions tailored to the needs and goals of each individual student. Oftentimes, students can feel behind within a traditional class setting. However, by working at their own pace and focusing on their strengths and weaknesses in a particular subject, I aim to help them achieve their maximum potential and target grade!
Each session will be 1 hour long and as productive as possible for the student with my own planning and strategy involved prior to each class. Focus will be mainly on guidance on topics that students may struggle with and exam strategy. Exam paper questions/homework may be assigned outside of class time in order to ensure continuous progress.
I can provide my own high-standard notes on all topics for a range of LC and JC HL subjects (those I used myself to achieve 9 Distinctions and 5x H1s). I can also help the student to make a personalized study plan; as well as offer my own advice in terms of time management and studying to ensure they reach their full potential in the State Exams.
In terms of my tutoring experience, I have only ever helped tutor younger family members and it is my first time using a platform like this. However, I have always enjoyed helping and explaining difficult concepts and topics to fellow classmates throughout LC & JC.
