About Durr
Hello, my name is Walter Bell. I am a junior in high school with skills in math and history. I aspire to be an emergency medical physician, and serve in the military in college. I am a student athlete playing rugby for SARFC (San Antonio Rugby Football Club) and boxing out of Randanzanno Brothers Boxing Gym. I am a Boy Scout, becoming an Eagle Scout at the end of January. I have tutoring experience in math, tutoring peers in clubs such as Mu Alpha Theta. I also know coding languages such as C++ and a little Java. My main language is English but I know a little Japanese and a lot of Latin. During my free time, I enjoy gardening, cooking, and fishing. I have attended programs such as Disney Dreamers Academy as well as GEMS (a military medical program). I am hoping to tutor in math, Latin, English, or science.

In my lessons, I plan to use the edge method, teaching the student how to do a problem, then letting them do the problems by themselves. I hope to be friendly to my students, and be welcoming to my students. As a tutor, I am not scared to spend the extra time needed to teach my students what I want them to learn. While I do hope to be welcoming, I want to push my students to be the best they can be. I hope to teach high school through elementary, in math, science, Latin, and English. I can also help in AP classes, or dual-credit classes.
