About Amber
I am in seventh grade in accelerated math. I have a little sister and 4 younger cousins, which provides experience with kids. I got 11th place in a math competition and I have made honors role every year of school. I have also gotten the principals award for the last 3 years, and the presidents award. I love learning and teaching for other kids to feel the same way I do.

My teaching method is to walk through each problem step-by-step and catch mistakes before anymore can be made. Another important part of teaching is being gentle and not putting everything on top of students all at once. I know from experience that if the student doesn’t know the teacher well, or feels uncomfortable around them, learning is harder. I say a little bit about my self, then have the student tell me something about themselves. Last but not least, if it isn’t fun, nobody will learn. I remember when I was learning multiples, the song jingle bells was used for 3. 3 6 9, 12 15, 18 21...
