About Mel
I’m fluent in both Kannada and Hindi. Kannada is my first language and Hindi is my second, so I’ve grown up speaking, reading, and writing both with ease. This helps me explain the language in a simple, relatable way to learners of any age. I enjoy teaching because it lets me share these languages with people who want to connect with their roots, improve their communication, or learn something new with confidence.

I keep my lessons practical and easy to follow. The idea is to help students speak confidently first, then slowly build reading and writing skills. I start by understanding the student’s level, their goals, and how they learn best. Once I know that, I shape the lessons around them. I use everyday examples, simple conversations, and short practice exercises so the language feels natural instead of heavy. Students get to speak from day one. I also give small homework tasks that don’t feel stressful but help them remember what we covered. For kids, I bring in stories, pictures, and fun activities to keep the class lively. For adults, I focus more on useful conversation, grammar clarity, and building fluency for travel, work, or family communication. What this really means is each student gets a personalised path. I keep the atmosphere friendly, patient and encouraging, so they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes — that’s how real learning happens.
